Match Report
Ipswich School Girls-U12A vs  New Hall School
On: Saturday, 17 Nov 2018
Venue: Away

This squad of players are applying themselves fully to the hockey program and are progressing well. Their organisation, preparation and focus is among the best sides that I have had the pleasure to work with at school, club, county and regional level.

An excellent warm up set the standard of the day and there followed a hard working team performance and enjoyment of the game that was a joy to witness. This side was hungry for the win without disrespecting the opposition in any way. New Hall is a solid team with two very able players and threatened the Ipswich D, only to be repelled by an in-form Issy Smith in goal. Ipswich had more depth to their squad and overpowered the Essex team with some excellent patterns of attacking play. The seven different scorers added their finishing to the 7 goal master class from Amie Hunt, establishing quite a margin between the two teams by full time. However, there was good play from both sides and plenty to emphasise why this is such a good game for all involved.
