RHS 1 Ipswich School 5

For our first fixture of the season, we travelled up to RHS. Ipswich dominated the first 15 minutes with plenty of chances but conceded first due to a mix up at the back. Ipswich turned things around quickly however, through a well worked move down the right finished by Dillon Hatcher and a 25-yard volley into the bottom corner from Finn O’Reilly. Inspired by England’s summer efforts, Joe Mac Gregor converted Dillon Hatcher’s corner with our tactics reaping rewards. After half time, Ipswich dominated the play thanks to Seb Careirro-Smith and Chris Britnell in central midfield. Ipswich then added two extra goals towards the end through Jacob Kite’s finish from a tight angle and a George Morris 1-yard-spectacular, to finish the game with a flourish and come out 5-1 victors. There were several debuts across the board including two year 11 boys, Tom Hopkins and Ollie Wright, who both impressed. Overall, with a new look team, this match provided a solid start to the season with an emphatic victory as we look forward to facing Felsted School on Tuesday.

Jacob Kite. 1st Team Captain.
