Ipswich School Girls-U15A vs  Stamford
On: Saturday, 29 Sep 2018
Venue: at Home

The 15As took to the pitch full of confidence after back to back wins. It didn't take long for us to take the lead with Harriet who got the rebound of the keeper to make it 1-0.

We then started to press high and dominate the first half with Stamford struggling to get it through the press with Maddie picking up any ball that were played through the middle. Her distribution then allowed us to get back onto the attack. We looked dangerous going forward.

The chances kept on coming and we then made it two with a shot from Megan and a good deflection from Joella to make it 2-0.

Stamford chances out of the back are limited and Maddie wins the ball back in the middle and carries hard into the D and gets a shot but its saved by the Stamford Keeper, Harriet gets the rebound to make it 3-0.

Another deflected shot by Joella makes it 4-0 at half time.

The second half started and the girls were hungry for more goals, with some strong attacking play from Mary, Maddie, Esmae and Willow.

Mary was looking dangerous going forward and the Stamford defence couldn't handle her pace.

We created chances but some good saves by the Stamford keeper kept it at 4-0.

We then won a handful of shot corners but Megan was denied by the player on the post! Megan was unlucky not to score.

Some strong carries from the back opened up spaces in the middle which Megan exploited but this time she was denied by the post.

We won another shot corner and it broke down and Esmae slotted it passed the goalkeeper to make it 5-0.

The high press meant that we turned the ball over in the attacking half and used the space and the ball comes across the D for Esmae to bag her second to make it 6-0.

We won more shot corners and tried some variations but we were denied by another great save on the goal like.

With only seconds to go in the game Harriet pressed high and wins the ball back and shots in the bottom corner to make it 7-0.

The best performance by the girls so far!
