Match Report
Ipswich School 2nd XV vs  Framlingham College
On: Saturday, 15 Sep 2018
Venue: at Home

The team had an extremely slow start to the game, giving numerous penalties away in the first 15 minutes due to poor discipline. We defended strongly though and managed to end the poor spell without conceding any points despite being camped in our own 22. As the first half progressed we had much more of the possession and started to control the game. There were some very strong runs from Ben Campbell, Oliver Mexome and Ollie Dunn putting us on the front foot. We scored three tries before half time, going into the break with a 15-0 score line. At half time we emptied the bench to see what depth of talent we had.

Due to the disruption and some missed tackles we conceded a try very early on. Like the first half we eventually settled down and played some good rugby. We scored two further tries the highlight being a perfectly weighted kick from Ben Campbell allowing Orlando Heelas to touch down and seal the victory.

The final score was 27-5, a very solid performance and enjoyable first game of the season. We will only get better as we play more times together as a squad.
