Ipswich School 1st XI vs  Woodbridge School
On: Tuesday, 20 Nov 2018
Venue: at Home

Ipswich school 2 Woodbridge School 1

We entrertained Woodbridge School at home, in tough wet and cold conditions. Ipswich started strongly, creating a one goal lead after George Morris finished at the near post on the end of a Jacob Kite cross. Woodbridge pegged us back quickly before the break with a great strike. We defended strongly all game however, and our efforts were rewarded after Chris Britnell played through Seb Carreiro-Smith, who danced sprightly past two defenders before tidily finishing six minutes from time. Despite a spirited response from Woodbridge in the dying minutes we deservedly held out to secure our second win in a row in this transitional season. Defensively Miles Salt and Adam Fairhead were impressive throughout however a man of the man performance, from Chris Britnell which enabled us, to secure a great victory, with a determined central midfield display. We look forward with great expectation, to our next fixture, away at Greshams.
